This breakfast recipe is especially great because, quinoa has become highly appreciated for its nutritional value, as its protein content is very high (12%–18%), making it a healthful choice for vegetarians and vegans. Unlike wheat or rice (which are low in lysine), quinoa contains a balanced set of essential amino acids for humans, making quinoa an unusually complete protein source.

Breakfast Quinoa Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup uncooked quinoa
  • 2 Tbsp hemp seeds
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk or fresh made almond milk
  • 1 Tbsp raisins
  • 1 med fresh peach
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Stevia or agave nectar to sweeten

Breakfast Quinoa Instructions

  • Rinse Quinoa and combine with almond milk and water.
  • Bring to a slow simmer, then
  • Cover and cook for about 15 minutes until the quinoa is tender.
  • Stir in the remaining ingredients and

  • Ready to eat.
